Probably one of my best days detecting ever. 4 silver rings, one gold ring, 2 silver pendants, one with a silver chain, 8 copper religious medallions, 3 copper rings, 2 old padlocks, seven tags and I still haven’t cleaned out my pouch. Almost forgot, a Rosie, a merc and a wheatie in a bezel.

I’ll post some close ups once things are cleaned if you’re interested.

Ok... here's the dealio...

The cameo is great.. BUT... not as old as I was hoping.

The design and feel of it came across as MUCH older... not that it is not old... it is... just was hoping to see a "lion" mark. :)

NOW... having said this... this by no means makes this "less" than cool.

The ring is special regardless and a heck of a score none the less.

Monetarily even they are VERY collectable... but like anything else... it's all in who is willing to pay what.

it is very interesting... and older.

Congratulations. As I said before, you are one lucky dude. I would bve camping in the bed of the pond until the water gets up to my chin. Sites like that are getting so rare. Keep up the good work.

STAY OUT THERE! Have you tried digging a trench in a hot spot yet?
When I had this opportunity back in 2009 there were some guys that were smarter than others and set up a big gas sifter and cleaned up with around 300 gold rings. Yes, I said 300 gold rings. Who knows how many silver coins and rings they had.
Grats and ENJOY!!!
