Looks like stamped brass, maybe part of a suspender clasp. Sometimes it’s worth carefully trying to straighten out. Might be late 1800’s early 1900’s.

That does look like it could be a suspender clip .. Have you had the chance to straighten it out?

I'm thinking suspender clip also. Try and see if you can get any lettering off of it.

Be careful on that little beauty. Annealing it first before bending would be my first effort if I was going to try to straighten it.
