Hey everyone,

Had a fun time out and about today with forum member NoThisIsPatrick. It was a real battle against the mud and tree roots out there. It’s been raining almost nonstop here for weeks. Roads are flooding, schools are shutting down, and I’m still out detecting!! [emoji23]

Lucas had a killer day and started crushing it right from the get go. I started slower and my first interesting find came a couple hours in. It’s a token to “Pioneer Canneries” in Snug Harbor, Alaska (middle of nowhere). It’s for $1.25 Per Box of clams. Talk about random! Super cool local find though.

I kept rumbling around and Lucas told me about a place where he’d been having success. I mentioned I might go give it a shot and he gave me the green light. Glad I went cause one of my first few targets is the beat Barber Dime. It’s 1914-D and has been pretty scuffed up but I don’t get many Barbers so I was pumped!

I returned to where I got the token after that and found the old safety razor. I had one more little spot I wanted to get at before heading home and got the 1905 V Nickel and decorative cuff link. On the day I found 5 wheats and the oldest is 1920.

Thanks so much for looking and happy hunting (or researching if you’re snowed in)!

That safety razor doesn't look too bad. With a little bit of work it could probably clean up nice and be functional again!

Thanks! I found one a couple years ago. Definitely a cool relic. Holds up better in the ground than you would think!

Man, that Clam token is baked!
Sorry about the pun, but that is a nice token, never seen one from Alaska,
and definitely never one good for a box of clams.
Kudos!

Great variety of keepers, congrats!

Thank you! Yeah! Hard earned. Dug a lot of holes to get these few goodies but I'm glad I did. I'm young and my back can take the strain haha.

Nice dig. I would be pumped with that Barber too. Congrats !

Yeah! The Barber was an awesome surprise. Rang in 12.44. Pretty much a copper penny. I have to assume it's because it is pretty worn. Might have also been on edge. Who knows!

That away to brave the elements and make some nice saves, that token is very unique!

Thank you. Looks like we're finally going to get a few days of no rain thank goodness. It is a cool token, thank you!

That's a nice hunt!

Thank you Bryce! I appreciate it!

I love the clams token! A harken back to the hay day of Seattle fishing and clamming

Heck yeah! Now I'd love to find a token good for crab or salmon haha. That would be wild.

Oh, I forgot -

KEEP CLAM!

(I've been to Ivars) :)

Hahaha perfect. That's one of the first things I thought of when I found this!

That was pretty tongue-in-cheek! Or should I say tongue-in-shell? Haha. Thank you! Me either.
Very productive hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

Thank you kindly PoE!
