It’s been 6 months since I’ve had the AT Pro, but I finally pulled my first barber! Super stoked and it’s a beauty! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1581577161.471484.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1581577224.295954.jpg

Meant to include my backstory but accidentally sent the post.

I went out to a spot that had been hit already, but I wasn’t sure if I’d got everything. Well, that was a bust. Went to two more spots- sure enough, both busts. Ever so frustrated, I went to a third spot and was getting a nice water pipe signal all the way next to a sidewalk except in one spot. Decided that since I had yet to even find a coin, I would just dig it anyways. Well, 5 inches down, and this beauty pops out! Stayed on that stretch of sidewalk and popped 4 wheats (36-S was only pre-40s) as well as an old crochet hook I believe. All in all thrilled about the barber!

A big congrats on finding your first Barber !

With all the bad weather that we've been having here I decided to put all my best coins in one big binder album.
I noticed that approx. 90% of all the Barber coins I've found - have 1900's dates on them.
So, this tells us that as demand increased, they started minting a lot more coins in 1900's than in the earlier years.
Bottom line - from what I've seen looking my own finds - your lucky that your first Barber - has a 1800's date on it !

NTIP, yes... that specimen is in great shape, nice save!! It seemed like after I located my first Barber coin, they started coming out in pretty regular fashion... So tick that one off the list and go get that Barber quarter! Congrats, Ddf.

You'd thing after searching for 50 years, I'd've found a couple of these. But I'm still with TheMilDetector on this one. I have found a Barber quarter though.

Very cool man! I'm pumped for you! You got there much faster than me. Took me a while to find my first Barber and I didn't get my first Barber dime until early 2018. Keep it up, you are doing great!!!
