Not wanting to travel too far afield, I visited a nearby athletic field in hopes of harvesting some clad. Certainly hoping for silver or something interesting.
The first hole produced a penny which rang 25-27 on the Equinox. Along side that plug was a deep 20-24.
I figured another penny and was amazed to find a large flat button.
The balance of the finds were modern with the possible exception of a small hem weight?
When cleaned up the button revealed a pattern which appears to be floral.
I'd like to definitively date it, my references don't show a shank attachment like it.
It is bronze/brass/copper?
Thanks for looking.
Be well! View attachment 1815110 20200326_124156.jpg 20200326_174834.jpg 20200326_174855.jpg 20200326_175003.jpg
