So I went back to the site that I found the two cut pieces of Spanish silver and found a few more items. Anyone have any ideas on the round copper disc?? I thought maybe a worn out copper that had been counter struck..extremely thin.... then the CW started to look like GW 🤨. ... but don’t believe there are any GW buttons with the GW in that position nor do I see an area where a shank was attached.... so just wishful thinking as one of these still remains on my bucket list. Any help is welcomed ! Everyone stay safe , God bless us all!!

I'm interested in the button but can't tell the metal type. If bronze its 16th C! If pewter 18th C.

The button appears to be lead, possibly pewter but does not show the normal deterioration that the other pewter items from this site have shown . Looks like most items appear to be early or mid 18th century for here. Thanks for your input and help!!

OK, you do get Lead versions in the 18th C.

Copper may be a whizzer toy conversion.

Great button and an oldie for sure. Single cast buttons are a favorite of mine. That one is probably 18th c

Edit: looks like Crusader was all over that button already!
