Hey all,
Got out for a few hours today. There was a lot of old junk, & square nails all over, but I finally hit the silver..
It's a 43 Mercury dime. I wish I had a better camera, or a scanner to show the detail on this coin. I don't see any scratches, other than very minute surface scratches from just me holding it, or much of any wear what so ever...
Do any of you ever get any of your very good looking coins graded, & sealed?..
I think I might check into it for this one...
Good Luck & Happy Hunting~

Ooops,
P.S.> My cousin found an 1876s Seated Liberty Quarter, I'll try to post a pic of it later...

Thanks all,,,
Very good point Minelab,,, that is something that everyone should learn Not to do. I have been detecting for around a year now and had scratched several coins in the past. I then realized that if I ever did find the honey of all coins, I probably would have ruined it before I got home... :'(
Still wondering if anyone ever gets some of their better coins graded?
I know this isn't a key date coin, and not worth a whole lot, but I'm pretty sure it would grade quite well...

JARMAN, As stated this site has a lot of trash... although we have found quite a bit of silver there, pick'ns are very slim at the moment..
I was thinking if we just keep going back and dig all the trash out sooner or later we'll run into some more silver that had been mask by the junk...
Good luck all,, Happy Hunting~

Hay all,,,,
Here's the pic of the 1876 Seated Liberty Quarter my cousin found the other day...
He cleaned it up, and realized he got into it with his knife. :'(
It was standing on edge about 8" down...
