Here's a scrappy I think is early to mid 4th century. I could be mistaken. I can see bits of lettering and possible figures...
I was just thrilled to find something roman...
Thanks for viewing. I found if I stare long enough I can see all sorts of things The medieval piece?
was a part of something else but not sure what.
I'll add a couple more photos I hope are less fuzzy.
And one new coin that was given to me I just ran across, from the Constantine family, possibly Constantius II, circa AD 345-350...13mm AE4

These coins are tiny...and then found caked in mud...it was like finding a needle in a haystack the size of a football field but worth every second!

Crusader, I recall when I found it that my English friends weren't sure either...perhaps more recent...medieval sounded pretty exciting to me at the time....selective hearing

My WAG is the mintmark is PARL. If so, the mint was Arles, France.
That mint used the PARL and SARL mintmark from 313AD-318AD and again from 340AD to 353AD.
And as CRU said, for sure, two 'Victories' holding two wreaths.

If it is a Christogram atop a military standard, the object would be called a labarum; a military standard that displays the Chi Rho symbols X over P--signifying the first two letters of the word Christ in Greek.
