    I have the twin In a barber Half Found this on top of the fire box of a floor heater while cleaning the natural gas ports. No telling how long it had been there but obviously fell through the floor grate and landed on top of the box House was built in the 1940's I have carried this in my wallet since I found it at 19 years old or so

    when I found it I couldn't figure out what it was for some time other than it was silver. Look close enough to the pics and you can make out the right side of the liberty bell and Franklin's face. Can't figure out why someone would have done that

    Merc, probably from a fire. There is a jewelers technique used with fine silver that creates similar patterning called reticulation. The reverse is barely visible. Click image for larger version.
