I'm still curious how you got it to Leonard, got it cleaned by him, and got it back in less than 3 weeks?

If you offer it back up on Ebay, please provide an update on the outcome. There's sure to be lots of interest in a rare variety in the ultimate category of political memorabilia. You may wish to consider an auction house for consignment. Ebay or auction house? I'm sure that advice on which venue to choose will vary as much as recommendations on conservation - oil, dry toothpick, professional restore, etc. I believe you absolutely made a wise choice in sending it out your GWI button for professional restoration. From what I've seen, Leonard Short is a master of his craft.

After all the messages I received after I had it listed for one day filthy, on ebay. It's back up.

NO way! Leave the sand in there, it's the only reason why the details of the button actually POP!

Amazing find, huge congrats bro!

Just a followup for you.

Sold for a good sum about 3 weeks after re listing .

Helped greatly with a house down payment back then.
