I found these out hunting with my son. I love the Good luck coins. Jed found the sample tin! It's a good year for me with 2 IHPs this year!! I have spent too long looking at the copper slug. We found it at an older site where a squirrel livery button came from. Is there a size to colonial coppers? It was so smooth with patina. I soaked it in pickle ( a light acid like lemon juice or ketchup). If I look long enough I see a face and some words. It would be pretty cool to find a copper coin here in Colorado. 1 and 3/16th inches across. Maybe it is a European coin and maybe just a well loved copper slug. Happy Hunting and GOOD LUCK!!!! Cool token, way to go one the IHP and, yes, the old coppers can be found here. I dug one in the 80's that is bent and really worn but you can still see a bust on one side. Grats and good luck up there.

call me crazy but the first photo of the slug looks like it might have a right facing bust. Could be a KGIII. But could be other things as well.

I have found quite a few Palmer items over the years and have a nice green perfume bottle. It looks like the cream tin is an early item in his line of things. Thanks Don.
Thanks xr7ator, I love when you find things older than they should be! I bet it's hot in Denver today!
Thanks RJ, it's always nice detecting!!!
Xcopperstax, thank you for the post. I wouldn't of posted it except I see the same thing. Is 1 and 3/16 the correct size or do they all vary??

1235CE, I had to do some research about the coin. It looks like I didn't make it into the 1700's but close. He was known as the mad King. Pretty cool. View attachment 1835951

If we're seeing what we think we're seeing, it's a little older. like in the 1770s.. it's also possible if that is indeed a right facing bust that you could be 100 years earlier in the late 1600s with a King William III halfpenny.

I appreciate you taking the time to look at the coin Evolution. Thank you for your help. I sure see a right facing bust. I have been looking at examples this am, but can't quite make a match. I imagine that with it being so worn it will be hard:)
