I had less than a hour to kill between work and supper so I stopped by a cellar site close by work that I detected hard in the past. It was grown in with grass way faster then I thought for this tome of year so I hit up the shoreline and bank area beside it. To my surprise I got a hit and dug out a necklace with a jewelled pendant. It was shallow but under some ocean stones. The bank was washed out from a storm so maybe it was once up there. I thought it was maybe brass with a possible sterling silver chain so I put it away in my case. To my shock later in the car I looked closer and seen 14K on both the chain and the pendant. I knew the pendant was real by looking but I had doubts about the chain as “14k Italy” is widely known to be marked on some fake chains. The more I studied it at home the more I come to believe it’s a genuine 14k white gold chain. I guess a acid test sometime is the only way to know for sure or take it to a jeweller. I also wonder now if the little gems are possibly 120 real little diamonds since the pendant is real gold. Regardless of what happens in the end I was psyched to dig it and it’ll look good in the collection. Thanks for looking! [emoji16][emoji106]

It looks really good but I have been burned enough times by the “14k Italy” mark to be suspicious of anything with that on it. The chain looks to be white gold and the pendant yellow? So hopefully one or both are real gold.

I agree. I’m still nervous. One thing for example that seems to help my case is most fakes have “14k Italy” stamped only once on a single end.. Mine has multiple stamps on both ends and even one on the clasp! [emoji106]

Looking at them a second time, my prediction is pendant is real gold with fake stones and the chain is a fake.

Looks better now. Im sure it’s all gold now. I still believe a trip to the jeweller will be good after the social distancing stuff is over to verify everything. After looking through a loop I even believe they are real diamonds! [emoji16]

The fields are almost all planted now, only a few left here and there...and then to find one with a site, that would be great
It's been tough out there but I got a few things along the way but not much to crow about

I believe the chain and pendent are both real. The stones likely are real but could be fake. Drop by a jewelry store and find out. It would be interesting to know. Congrats on a great find!
