I was hunting an old Ohio school house yesterday and found this copper or bronze lightening rod. I have found numerous examples online (Worthpoint, Pinterest). This one is a "bayonet" style lightening rod. Finding a civil war bayonet has been on my bucket list for a long time. This may be as close to checking that box as I get, but I'll keep trying.

Shocking find. Maybe not a bayonet, but I still wouldn't want to get stabbed with it!
