This is only the second confederate button I have found and it seems to be a good one. It is a Block A, Artillery, two piece button made by Chatwin and Sons, Birmingham. From what I can find on line, this seems to be somewhat rare. I saw some out there prices on some sites. Curious of one of the experts on here can confirm if it is a rare one. It is 21 mm, in great condition, still has shank and back mark is clear.

It has an RV rating of 35, so it must not be very common.

I'm not kidding... the day before, I dug four brass rivets within 6 feet of where this button was buried. How could I have missed it?

If you google Relicman and go to his button page-1 you will see this button with the same backmark. It's about half way down. I think you'll like what you see :icon_thumleft: Great dig!!!
