Not the most valuable thing I have ever found, but few things have brought a bigger smile. A buddy of mine who served in the USAF for 30 years tells me these are the first of 3 sets of wings pilots get. Found them about three or four inches down in an open lot that used to have old houses on it, but they've been gone over 15 years now, so I would think these have been in the ground a while. They were face up, so the silver feathering was the first glint that appeared, and I'm happy I didn't ding it with my shovel. Not a great treasure to most, but a sure keeper for me!
