Found this in the wet this morning and didn't know what it was at first. It was so heavy I tossed it up on the beach and kept working. Later I found the fuze and realized what I'd found. Pretty sure it's some kind of training prop??
Informed the shore patrol and they called it in and took a look. We decided it was safe and had a good laugh :laughing7:

Never know what you're going to find out there.

Not a real grenade, its a dummy trainer with a training fuse that makes a "pop" to simulate the explosion, and thats already been used.

Must have been one hell of a strong arm to reach the water from any training areas.

I agree with Jason, it is a training grenade - the fuse is removable and can be replaced after each use. I threw many of these while in basic training in the Army before we went to the live fire hand grenade range.
