So I haven’t posted in quite some time but I haven’t stopped hunting.....and I have had all sorts of firsts and bucket listers I could post! But they weren’t “todays finds”!

1722 two reale
4 colonial coppers
My first civil war bullets
First buffalos
And my first SQLs (three this past week!)

Here are some buttons I stumbled across along with a nice bit of silver the half dime is 1853. Going to hit this spot again tomorrow morning!

those buttons are in great shape. The soil must be very easy on them. Awesome finds!

Thats a lot of great finds. All those buttons came out of the ground real clean. I found that same cub scout ring in my backyard. Silly to give kids silver there is no choice but for them to loose it. Congrats!

Yeah that sugar sand keeps them looking nice.

Yeah I didn’t realize how rare it was to find all three of those in a day, makes me appreciate the stuff even more. A guy called me and offered me $1,000 for one of those.

Holy smokes! I don't believe I have ever seen anyone post a dug Alabama state seal button here before. Those seem to be even rarer than hens teeth. I would have camped out on that site till every whisper of metal was out of the ground. Now you just need an Alabama state seal belt plate to go with it! The other two Confederate buttons are gorgeous also and any one of them would have made my year for sure. Thank you for sharing these with us. I will be nominating these for the banner. Please go back and dig more of these and post them of course!

Thank you very much! I won’t be able to hunt the site in Alabama too much since I’m four hours away but I may hit it this weekend. [emoji16]
