Updated my nox 600 to the 3.0 software last night, wanted to take it somewhere today to try it out since the weather was cool. Needed a place that is mowed as i promised my wife no more ticks or chiggers, so I stay out of the woods in the summer.

Picked an old farm field that is now public property. Was detecting up by the road where people have to walk due to no sidewalk on this side. There is a spot where an old fence used to be, found a few quarters and dimes, just clad. Then up against a tree i get a 28 signal. I pull a nice sterling ring with turquiose.

Excited, I take a few more steps and get a nice lower 30's signal. I think clad quarter but nope, its another sterling ring and its huge.

Two pieces of jewelry in a row, what is going on here? :icon_scratch:

Scan the area and start getting mid tones, welp time to dig it all.

There was jewelry everywhere. Some of it looked gold but I wasn't sure. I spent a hour or so digging every signal in a small area about 10 x 10. I switched from park1 to park2 and it really helped finding the little stuff.

No idea if there is gold in the mess or not, but several of the rings are silver.

Probably the most fun I've had detecting ever.

Very well done, especially the hunt for the owner. Kudos to you.

My surmise would be somebody threw away a box of jewelry either a disgrutled spouse intentionally or a thief being chased?

Exactly my thoughts about a chase since the turquoise rings would have probably been a keeper if this group had been picked through before being tossed.

Pretty sure we've found the lady on Facebook but she won't respond. Even sent her pictures, she might think it's a scam :dontknow:

My wife has been super busy but is going to try the ladies daughter this week.

A few of the fine chains seem to be gold. I'm going to go back after it rains a dig some more, I'm sure there is more there. It's so dry here now the ground is dust.

Awesome, please keep us informed...this is a great story and exciting find. Kudos to you for trying to do the right thing. Many people on FB don't see PM's unless they are the status of "FB friends." FB puts non-friend messages is a weird place that's not obvious to most. You might want to try sending her a friend req and see if that works.
