That's it! No more detecting in bad ground for me!!! You find a fantastic coin like that and the elements destroy it. Now if I could just find that coin in New Jerseys sugar sand I'd be a happy man. This 1775 George came out of sugar sand this weekend. george111.jpg

Nice find . My only one is better than yours but still not great. So tough to find any pre1800 copper in good shape in New England.

I totally agree. It’s really depressing watching history crumble away in front of your eyes. At least there’s hope for some colonial silver in the area. Sugar sand sounds amazing lead the way(lol). Thanks Ryan
