    Some 14k, sinkers and money

I went back to the one spot I go to several times a year. I only dug about 1 hour but managed to do better than usual. I suppose the old saying works here, it has to be there to begin with. Highlights of the day were two items, an earring marked 14k and a small gold band also marked 14k. I got about 15 coins and a dozen sinkers, and got tired and headed home. My cat is sick and I didn't want to be away long. Here's the gold, too bad the weight is minimal:

It may be light, but gold is gold. Congrats.

Well done on the short hunt Smokey.
Hope the Smokeythecat isn't too sick-it's such a concern when they do fall ill.

Thanks all. Weather is now perfect. So many things to do. Smokeythecat, the real one, is fine. My little girl, Lily is terminal. I haven't been going many places to be with her.

I hate to give a “like” to that. Been there with a terminally ill cat. So hard when they can’t tell you what would give them a little comfort.

Went back to the beach. The fish were breaking just out of casting range. Dang it!

As a fellow cat lover, I am sorry to her that about Lily....

Lily has had 3 tumors for at least 15 months. Vet was talking about "when she dies" the first week of January this year. She doesn't seem to know she's sick, but the arthritis in her hip hurts, just like mine. They are the slow growing type and she is almost 16. She is helping me eat anyting! She likes the $16 a pound rockfish especially. And of all things she likes Brussel sprouts! Go figure! The vet almost choked when I told her that. Apparently doesn't hurt her! I have 5 cats, 2 hens and 1 fish and me! All elderly now.
