Networking & short solo hunt - TREASURE...

Land-Mag & I visited a new farm, so I could met the owner, & also field walk a couple of target fields with him. We suspect there will be a Roman Site but the only evidence we could find was Medieval Pot.
This will be a farm for the back-burner, he only wants 1 at a time because of the game birds etc...

After that visit land-mag dropped me off on a field that I haven't done in years. Its not a very good field but I did find 1 Celtic Gold coin, so I wanted to give it another blast. Only there for 1 hr 45 mins but I lucked into my 2nd piece of early Saxon Treasure.

    2 Scrappies
Fragment of a Saxon 6th C Brooch? (silver chip carved & gilt - Style I) - Very high statue.
    Similar to the below:

Our only ever hunt in this field in 2015 (& we gave the land-owner the gold coin):
2 New Fields - unpromising but CELTIC GOLD popped out !

Roman, Saxon, maybe even Celtic, ....you've got just about ALL of History to recover - one piece at a time...!
    Good job, lucky!

If it's one of these brooches you made a killer find! I hope more parts turn up over the years.

Nice to hear that you're always prospecting for potential new sites Cru.
I would've assumed that you had so many site options that it would keep you awake at night.

    Love the early brooch fragment.
