Got a good signal and started digging. hit a root and started cleaning my way around it when I saw a shinning dime size thing I thought was under the root. Kept on cleaning around the root and realized that there was another branch coming off it and going straight down. I then figured out that the branch grew right through a metal washer and expanded around it almost perfectly. The root was part of a tree about five feet away. I figure the root must have yelled BULLSEYE at some point.

Is that a ring or a pull tab? I'd hate to think those darn pull tabs are now attacking our trees! :'(
