was going back on an old river site that I have pounded over and over this time with my 12 inch excelerator coil lookin for deep missed targets from previous searches and this gal popped up from the massive depth of four inches:laughing7:...dont know how i missed it all those times. I was just about to turn off my detector from lack of good signals and leave. Not a lot of detail, but it is either a 27 or 37.....cant really tell with my old eyes.thanks for lookin, vn

Nice! Not easy to find especially that far south.

Yes, I expected it to be a seated.....as they have been found at this site on more than one occasion. Florida though, has a longer history than many know. We have Civil War sites, Seminole War sites, settlements from the early 1800s and Spanish missions and exploration. Not to mention a swath of Native American sites. But ,as you said, these earlier silvers don't come up often down here.

I dont usually put that one on....its so hard for me to pinpoint well with it. I gave the face of this dime a little Carol Baskin treatment....Wacked it.
