Left my job site and swung by an old church. Went around outside the chain link fence and just dug signals from 23 up on the equinox. I'll go back and hunt it right when I have more time and light. Kept throwing everything in my pouch once I separated them from the dirt with no light. I got a sweet 31-32 and was thinking maybe aluminum can. To My surprise it was this 1924 Illinois pocket watch. The gears are all rusted, but I'm happy anytime I find a pocket watch. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!!!

Sorry about the dirt on my scratch stone. I may have knocked it off the counter. The lines are from bottom to top-10kt,14kt,18kt. The bezel Looks to be 10kt gold, maybe 14kt.

I thought it was Silver at first too. Figured the weight was just because the guts were still in it.

I love finding pocket watches whole/pieces. I have yet to find a whole one yet...just random pieces so far. My fascination with them has led me to purchase 2...I don't wind them very often unfortunately as the gentle ticking drives my wife crazy when it gets quiet...LOL! Congrats btw!

I have found a dozen pocket watches, even a solid silver one pounder rail watch. But never a gold... Awesome find!

Very cool! Good to see you still at it. Work has had me swamped for the last 3 months.
