Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some of my finds from my last couple of hunts. My buddy King Permish got the ok for us to hunt an old school house that I know has been hit several times over the years but we went low and slow and dug a lot. Huge trash pile but we had a good 7-8 hours into it over two trips. The Skelton key spill came from a previous hunt in an old yard, but all 3 in the same hole. Probably a rusted out key ring in there somewhere too. The oldest Indian is in poor condition, either an 1872 or 1873. 3 silver in a spill along with a Jefferson nickel. A nice cuff link and shoe button cover. A pin that says “So’s your old man” a very old expression that’s kinda like the modern “yo momma”. Lots of cool old relics including a unique horse harness buckle, and a rolled penny from The international livestock show in Chicago Illinois and an old laundry soap token that has a Lincoln front. Ended up with 3 Indians, 3 silver, a 1902 V nickel and a bunch of wheats. Fun stuff, thanks for looking. HH, Griff.

No telling what is under that old school. All of the things that slipped through the cracks in the floor or were hidden by other children. What a great place to hunt.

That Indian appears to be an 1872. It's worth trying to clean it up, because it could be worth $100 or more with a little work. Anyone have a good method for cleaning crud off Indians?
