These 2 fields are next to each other & less than 1/2 mile from Cru'dad's house.
The Winter Stubble field is a small 1.5 acre plot that we have never had anything of note from. However, because of its relatively good conditions; soft stubble, settled ground, & the big weeds are spread out enough. We decided it was worth doing in bite size pieces, in the hope for 1 good find. (maybe a hammered?)

3 Hours on the Stubble produced a lot of buttons plus:
(Pictures 1 & 2)
Spur bit
Medieval Buckle Plate
Half a Spec. Buckle
Broken 18th C Pastry Jigger
Marker No.1 of a Gunter's Chain

After lunch we did 2 hrs 45 mins on the Sewage Site (a low yield Roman Site near a modern sewage works) This field is an ankle breaker but on the better end of the scale, as some of the area has fallen flattish:
(Pictures 3 & 4)

17 Roman Bronze Coins (good total for this field!)
Bit of a Roman Bracelet
Blank Coin Weight
Broken Tudor Button

Some better coins today! My heart jumps a bit every time i see some detail on a roman bronze in the field... Like the dual row knurling design on the bracelet bit.

Thanks all.

The average condition of these bronzes are far better than the last field, so we are hopeful of some more...
