I was looking around this 500 acre plantation today and found just one keeper, that being within 50 feet of the car. Disappointing, too since I think I pretty much covered the entire parcel..............yeah RIGHT! Anyway, this piece is heavy brass with a thick green patina, and has been broken off a larger piece. My only guess would be possibly the tip of a sword scabbard, but I doubt that's correct.
As always, it was good to get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air for a change!

That could be a broken piece of trim off many different things.
