So, I woke up this morning, and my mothers like, “Jared, go to McDonald’s and get me some food.“

So, I went to McDonald’s, paid cash, and got back my change. When I got home, I looked at the change, only to find out that they gave me a Canada cent back by mistake with the rest of the change.

I was irritated at first, until I saw the back of the Canada cent.

This is a Canada centennial I think. I’m not sure. I thought It would catch some peoples interest.

Probably not valuable in its condition, but still an interesting find.

That's exactly what it is. Canadian Confederation was July 1, 1867, so in 1967 they celebrated with special designs on all coins. The most common is the cent with a dove. The nickel had a rabbit. The dime had a mackerel. The quarter had a bobcat. The half had a howling wolf. The dollar had the Canadian goose. Overall, a beautiful set.

That is exactly what you have. I dug one of those years ago, while metal detecting. Neat coin.

I dug one this past year, but being near Canada it wasn’t a surprise. I have 150 I saved from when I was a kid. No real collectible value, but a nice design.

I got one of those in my change when I was kid, seeing as how I was born in 1967 and thought it was cool I never got rid of it! 40+ years later I still have it.
