2 Injuns & A Miniature 1800's Perfume Bottle ~ Need Help W / Bottle History
Well today we covered a lot of ground and went to four different sites.
The first three sites did not give up the treasure.
It was not until our legs were tired from walking miles and miles that we finally arrived at our last site of the day.
With a 1/2 mile hike back into the woods we were there at the late 1800's site.
Still learning to use my Fisher F75, I started immediately hunting and my first find under a tree among tree roots was a 1934 Wheatie.
I thought yes, finally a site that possibly no one had hunted before. (Thanks Mitch for sharing your site!!!!)
I then proceeded another 12 feet and got an iffy old coin signal. I chose to dig anyway and glad I did, at about 5 inches down I found a IH, did not know the date at the time and had to clean that and all my coins at home. I covered my hole and checked with my detector for other signals and this time there was another old coin signal, not as iffy as the first and less than 5 inches away which explains my first iffy signal. I dug down 6" and retrieved my second IH. I was on cloud nine and my expectations soared of the other possible treasures that may lay buried.
My next find was an old horse shoe and then a small perfume bottle. The writing on the bottle is abbreviated: " Jas S Kirk & Compy Perfumers Chicago".
If anyone can tell me anything about this bottle, history, value, age, etc. etc. I would appreciate it, because I could not find anything on the internet.
I found everything pictured within a 4 foot area.

I don't believe in LUCK, but after finding the horseshoe, I guess I could say that it was my lucky day!
