Hey guys I got some things to show you and ask questions about but I want to let the newcomers know that just because I find things to put up there are days in the week that I don’t put anything up because there’s nothing to show. “It's a marathon, not a sprint.”. So here we go I had to bring a hammer out of my truck so I can break through the red brick and my first find was an odd looking ball of rust so I put it on my shovel and bang the heck out of it with my hammer and I believe I got a beautiful grape shot image-2021-01-17-18:41:01-688.jpg
I wish I had my camera on me so I could’ve took a picture of what it looked like at first. Then there’s the musketball which I’m proud to half image-2021-01-17-18:41:31-738.jpg
Weird little piece feels very light but it lights up the pin pointer no idea what it is image-2021-01-17-18:41:47-552.jpg
Then I got a ornate modern key which I thought was awesome image-2021-01-17-18:42:35-798.jpg
And come on who doesn’t like marbles and beautiful pottery image-2021-01-17-18:41:59-792.jpg

image-2021-01-17-18:42:12-078.jpg
And last but not least which I have no idea I just want to ask somebody could this be cannonball fragments? image-2021-01-17-18:52:36-451.jpg

I appreciate your looking I’m going back at 8 AM so I could work until 6 PM I’m going to see what’s in this shell mitten. Thanks for looking

You make good posts, I like to hear about and see your finds. That key looks like something you might see in Boulder Colorado. Don’t bogart that joint my friend, puff puff pass. A sneaky little roach clip.
Who knew they liked those left handed luckys back in the day?

Well would you look at that I was trying to go to sleep but this piece of aluminum kept going through my mind because it wasn’t bending like aluminum got dressed went outside in the truck and dug through my spoils and I found it. It was crazy because I couldn’t get it out of my mind for some reason it’s a detectorist intuition image-2021-01-17-21:47:39-171.jpg

Hahaa I thought you went out side to smoke? It does linger. I like dabs best nowadays, 30 years of making a beer can pipe is plenty enough.

For them to be frags there would be a pronounced curvature to them. They also look a little too thin.

Is the mystery piece made of lead? It looks like a crude pencil/writing device. I've found some like it at early sites in coastal SC.

No it’s not made a lead it’s unusually light and I’ve looked at it long enough to say I don’t know what it is I’ll see if it writes
