An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

If they were mine, I'd have all of them professionally graded; especially the '03 O and the '93 O. The fact that no Peace dollars are in the collection would be a strong indication (to me, anyway) that the cache was buried before 1921. As such, I'd suspect the condition of each coin would be of a higher grade due to they not being in circulation for many years.

Voting banner as well! Fantastic find!!

I wonder if it was buried recently. All those silver coins touching underground for 100+ years...many will usually come out really darkly stained from reacting with each other esp with no apparent top on the jar. I'll bet there are more there. Keep us posted

You find a jar of coins and your instinct is to rattle it...shake it again and again? THEN paw around in the dirt with them....thank you for not rubbing the date with a rubber glove. ; )

Dang...maybe it just jumped out at me because I’ve been focused on rare gold coins lately.

    Great content. Congratulations.

Great find Terry. Keep searching that area as you never know there could be more. I know from now on I think I'll keep digging down rather give up on a hole as I may be passing up something good down deeper. I can say with all honesty, you deserve this find.

Well done Terry, one heck of a find. Think that is why most of us detect, hoping to do just that.
