    CANDLE TRIMMER/SNUFFER AGE?

    My wife found this in an antique shop today... it didn't break the bank....curious on the age and pretty sure it's not silver but can't figure out the marks. Any input is appreciated. Also posted in what is it...Thanks in advance !

    I'm not that sure if that Maker Mark is a type of Silver Hallmark or not, looks a little odd for one. Hard to tell in the photo but there might be a chance it's silver, hopefully someone will know the mark;

    Replied on your Other thread. It's silver plate by R. Silk of Birmingham, England and made circa 1809.

    Tell your wife she did good! That's a great example of a nice, early candle trimmer!!
