With 87 feet of snow on the ground, we are forced to hit the beaches. Went out twice in the past week, each time only one keeper ( precious metal) and a lot of clad. I did find a washed out cut that produced old “ stuff” just nothing of particular interest except a Mickey Mouse spoon from the 1930’s. The good stuff was a small deep .925 ring with a glass stone and yesterday I hit 18k gold chain by luck, the signal was horrible, a scratchy 10-13-15 on my Nox about 6” down, but it made my day. We’re heading back Friday and Sunday if any of you local boys want to tag along. Going to have a nice minus tide Saturday and Sunday and the weather won’t suck too bad😒

Sweet yella, Joe! What's the spoon marked?
It’s marked plated, but there is no sign of any copper coming through. It was caked with verdigis and sand that wiped right off. I was shocked to see it wasn’t silver. In the spots it’s really worn, it still looks silver.........head scratcher

I dug a spoon a few years back and thought for sure it was sterling since I had to pry it up from between a brick and a big hunk of cement and no red or copper color anywhere. Turnsout it's marked "heavy silver plate".

Glad to see a mere 87 feet of snow didn't deter you from finding treasure! We had a few inches here in the DC area and our world came to a stop....again.

Congrats on the 18k it’s good to know if I ever went on a beach I could hang. I heard the 800 was good with gold chains in water. I’m so pleased with my 800 purchase I got a thousand on it and I know that 50 tone language well. Congratulations on your finds

Truth, I actually got the chain in wet sand where the beach had been stripped after a big nor’easter. All the gold I’ve found with my Nox has rung up pretty high, between 10 and 17 but I do dig all the signal numbers, it’s usually crappola. I do go into the water but not very far, one splash of 33* water in my muck boots and that would end my day. Today we’re going to a beach that has been completely stripped to black sand and lots of old silver coins been found. Gonna be cold though 27* brrrrrrrrrr

A nice array of coinage, linkage and miscelanage....northern beaches I'm assuming? Congrats, good to see you're still out there pulling silver and gold...
