The dredged up sand from the renourishment operation last winter on our beach produced a Rev War period rat tail pewter spoon. This is the first complete 1700s pewter spoon that I have dug. You almost always get pieces of these. I dug some other jewelry as well.

Just saw on the news this morning that they are stopping a dredging project in the harbor near you as they have dredged up some artifacts that they don't believe are associated with the CSS Georgia.
