My nicest mid 18th century shoe buckle frame

Past two evening hunts. One at a older permission that will never be hunted out with all the iron and modern trash. Got a toasted Draped Bust LC, toasted half cent, 1883 IHP and some modern silver. Tonight went back to newest permission and didnt find much other than the real nice and fancy buckle frame. Unbroken with a great patina on it due to it coming from a grassy hillside that is too steep to farm.

I love the design of that buckle. The designs of most finds will fit neatly into what is expected for their periods, but the other day I found a knee buckle, at a late 18th early 19th century site, that looked Art Nouveau. And, this shoe buckle looks like something that might have been worn as a belt buckle in the 1970's. Very cool!
