Hey guys, I found this old spoon while out today metal detecting. It’s hard to date but the area was occupied from the late 1600s up until now. There was a revolutionary war near this area. I’m hoping somebody can help identify the markings and possibly date the spoon. The spoon is non-magnetic and just dirty. 54BBFD6D-4CF7-4D1A-8DE8-0B6340254443.jpeg 5E78F3FA-54F6-4E44-96F3-9638AAC784D3.jpeg

Thanks for the help,
Doug

Can we see the back? Are there any markings on the back? If there are, can we have a pic of them? Looks like it was a silver plated copper or iron spoon. Maybe pewter?

Some kind of copper-alloy base which was once silvered I think. Strange design!

From the design style of the handle , I'm confident in a late 19th /early 20th C. dating of the piece (1890's -1910)

Wow, thank you very much. I was having a very difficult time figuring it out. I just saw it laying there on the side of the river bed.
