Quick morning hunt at a new permission. First time getting to swing there and the second signal out came this Railroad Key! Been on my list for a good while . A few more odds and ends and then a nice Mercury and had to call it a morning. Will be back this weekend to do a complete hunt of the property. The property dates to the late 1800 early 1900s and as you may have already realized runs right beside a railroad track and the heart of the cities main street. Hoping to go out this weekend and find some really nice items. PCC i am assuming is Pennsylvanian railroad, any thoughts on the time frame of these keys?? Keep swinging everyone.

I love railroad related stuff..its so darn scarce ..especially the older stuff.

The PRR could be either Philadelphia and Reading Railway or Port Reading Railroad if it's a US switch lock key.
Very nice find!

Verry nice find. I found my first a few weeks ago. However I was no where near a rail line. Let me see if i can find the website I used to date mine. Looks the same as mine which is late 1800s to early 1900s
