I drove to one of my far away places yesterday, the ground was soppy but the 74khz on the Deus really nailed it. This is essentially a hunted out camp, but pulled these two coat sized eagle buttons out. Complete with shanks. Also some percussion caps, three other buttons, camp lead, the usual.

IMG_2785.JPG Even though they were found only 100 feet apart, the one has a greenish look the other red brown. The Red brown one the Deus sniffed out at 8" in the horrid Virginia Red dirt! I was really surprised.

Nice pair of buttons Smokey. Congrats
I really like the 74 setting as well, it seems to really sniff out the finds.

Vferrari calls it my "little laser", that HF 74khz coil. Hottest on the market. And it will do deep also.

Its getting really hard to get anything now. This one spot is tiny and I've hunted it for four years now. I seem to be able to find those CW period buttons almost anywhere. I was on a colonial homestead Sunday in Maryland, and just putting the stuff in the pouch, not paying much attention to it. One CW period flower button was on the colonial homestead, all by itself.
