The bad news first I was charging up the 800 in my truck overnight and I got up today jumped in the truck and took my I would drive to New Orleans. Well when I turned my machine on there was only one bar I was pissed, But at least I know how long one bar will last me LOL. The good news is since I have no other place that has the history that I’ve come across them to I found myself having to go to the Fort and detecting different. Yesterday I came home with a flat button using 2 tone so today having nothing to really lose I tried beach 1, 2 tone and for the short time I was there I got another flat button 2 Wheaties and a V nickel. Now over my 5 years of Metal Detecting I have found more V nickels than buffalo nickels but I do believe that this one was my oldest V nickel of 1886. So pretty excited and I look forward to exploring more beach mode 2 tone with the 800 ready for war image-2021-05-08-16:17:41-434.jpg

IF you think that one is worth a few bucks... wait till ya dig a 1913.

:)

$3,428,950.00 for an average one... and tack on another million bucks if you happen to find one in mint state... you know... all those mint state coins we find in the dirt an all.

:P

Congrats on your finds! I hate charging issues. There is nothing worse than driving out to distant spot only to learn that your machine didn't charge up as expected. Argggggggg!

Nice job on the old V Nickel Truth. The "Field 2" program is also good for Nickels. I use that program almost all of the time now, no matter where I'm hunting.

Charge it and watch it after a couple hours. Might be nothing. Might be something.

I’ve done most of my hunting and field 2 That’s why I was so curious about beach mode maybe lock who knows but I’m on a litter wining streak
with this beach 1, 2tone because all I have in the pipeline right now is this fort and I’m telling you that’s rough I have you’ve probably heard me whingeing about the white shells, the bricks, the roots from the oak trees,THE PLENTY OF TRASH bent rusted square nail not to mention this damn coke!!! Do any of you have a Coke problem like me? IMG_2100.jpg
So when you go to the spot you go on against a lot of obstacles that was trying to ruin your game that’s why I have to keep on learning about different tones because I have hit this Fort like no one has. IMG_2101.jpg
It’s been everything from a Ford to a hotel to a amusement park but I have to admit I love it I told my wife I want my ashes spread over it

This does look like an oval plate of some sort, and it looks to have a ribbed edge around the outer circumference of this piece. ? Cool looking piece. Don't throw it away. You have found some really nice saves. Congrat's.

Yeah I know and I appreciate it I just can’t stop looking at it it’s a lot of fun let your imagination go wild like maybe it was a piece of lead inside a Bell Buckle that’s what I like about this hobby sometimes you get something and for some odd reason you never throw it away

Devildog if I even like the shape of something not knowing what the hell it is I still keep it. I learned that when I was bored one day and I looked through my what the hell it is jar and there was a little square with a knob on the back and I took some of nose grease on it it was a another script “I”. I held on that little piece for over a year and I was bored one day and I said I want of this is pewter and just like magic I wipe the eye on it it’s my second script are you from this location IMG_0526.PNG
