Was able to finally get out and make some good finds from an old plantation landing by working the mud flats and shallows. My best find was a hallmarked solid silver spur that was made in London in 1746 according to the hallmark research.
I have searched for a match to the silversmith’s initials “WC” but haven’t found one yet. Any ID help would be appreciated! Also found a half reale and a few buttons.

Yeah i was leaning more towards an "H" as well... the old world script was hard enough to read... let alone when a semi pressed makers mark. heh

PErhaps a slight clean with a Q-tip and another good close ups and we can pin this one down.

I for one am very interested. :)
Here is a little more Q-tip work to see if we can ID first letter. Thank you for any ID help.

SC Keith - I've been off-the-grid for a while, so please accept my belated congrats on such a tremendous find and another trip to the top with making Banner! In reading through the thread, I came to realize that you also recovered that fantastic firearms with all the silver trim, so here's a question: What's your target date on a solid silver sword handle? Great stuff. Looking at your past banner finds, it seems that you've hunted some terrific properties, where the wealthy and affluent lost possessions here and there. Good for you. Great for you. Looking forward to seeing more. :hello2:
