Nice spoon, but that antiques site doesn?t have it quite right. Simpson, Hall, Miller, & Co became part of the International Silver Company (ISC) in 1898, although the name continued as a brand within ISC for a while thereafter. The dates 1895-1898 are not the dates for this pattern, but the dates during which Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co had been producing sterling flatware under their own name.

They were using the ?knight?s head? mark as shown on your piece during that period, but ISC owned the mark thereafter and continued to use it. The pattern is ISC?s ?Edgewood?, designed by Samuel Stohr in 1909. Not sure when the pattern was discontinued but it was certainly still being advertised in 1913.
