After cutting a tree down that I didn?t like from day one and trying to be Hercules I aggravated my sciatic nerve so I did what any detectorist would do and went swinging for an hour and now it hurts like hell know. I?m 52 and I swear I feel like 53. So I?ll show up and I get a three ringer on my first plug then I?ve got three little lead balls and then I tripped over a nice little coin spill a 97 Indian and a 97 V nickel. I?ll save the best news for last or electricity just came back on since the hurricane and for that I am grateful image-2021-09-08-19:40:27-413.jpg

Glad you got your power back on buddy. The round balls look small caliber like maybe .36 cal Navy. Then again it may be buckshot if smaller.

Truth, been through the same thing, so I know how ya feel.
That, and I've got 10 years on you.. old.gif

Here's an easy exercise I learned from a chiropractor about 30 years
back.

Sit in a chair, and then cross your legs at the knees. If your right leg
is on top, then turn your head to the right and slowly pull your
right knee to the left. Repeat with the left leg on top, looking to the
left and pulling right.

Don't torture yourself, but stretching it out will reduce the pain,
and allow you to be active. Also, be sure to do this before you go out
to detect..at our ages, it never hurts to do a bit of stretching before
we start all the bending over, kneeling, digging, etc.
