Civilman and I hit an amusement park that closed
in the late '50s. Before you get excited, Every metal
detector in the state has been over the ground there.
Nobody hunts it anymore.....except us. Today was
our first time there.
I got '46, '48, 56 wheaties.
'42 merc
'46 roosevelt

We hit a picnic area down at the end of my property
and I got '70 lincoln
'68, '70 roosevelt
'65, '72 quarters

We usually hunt relics, so finding silver is a really
big deal for me........and TWO is a first for me. ;D

Congrats, tymcmurray, on striking silver on your first hunt at the amusement park.

It was so generous of the other md'ers over the years to leave a few for you there.
Probably a little more there. I like places like that. So challenging.

Nice going Ty! It seems like there's always something left to find at those "hunted out" places if you work it hard enough.

you have proof that its not as 'hunted out" as folks think it is --- two "small" silvers and several wheaties show that -- yes big silver might be harder to find because "cherry pickers" most likely hit the spot years ago ---but the small silver adds up too :D ---- Ivan

I love to hear hunted out! Silver your first time there proves there's plenty of good hunting left. Go for it!

Nice bunch of finds. Gotta love when a hunted out area gives up a little bit more.
