George Rex Button from Charleston?????

Hi,
I am not a treasure hunter, but while planting a Banana tree, I found a pewter(?) button. It has GR with crown on the front and a "p" and a "y" on the back. Any help would be appreciated.

I found it on James Island, SC, 4 miles from Charleston.

Well, I would start selling them Bananas, and use the money to buy a metal detector.. you may be sitting on some damn good finds, and don't even know it.. Are the bones human?
