We were invited to hunt off-season at an English theme park- several acres. It was unseasonably warm today, 65 degrees in Dayton Ohio.

What a great day for all. I found several unexpected items today. The others will post there own finds: (All my finds are with a Whites M-6).

Sacajawea Dollar - Third since Nov 07
Queen Elizabeth II copper charm?
Child's silver wire ring
Egyptian Cat Pin
5-pointed flower decorations (4)
1403 -Celtic coin (dime sized) Probably a fake

First Old Coins -- First Foreign Coins:
1912 King George of Britton - LargePenny
1907 King George of Brittan - Large penny

King George coins found 3" down with VDI +74 --showed Penny. While waiting for Jeff to dig up his find I casually swept area while talking and got another +74 VDI hit.
Yes...a second King George Large Penny. Impossible: what are British coins of this age doing in Ohio?
King George is facing in two different directions on the two coins--must be a fake. I Goggled it and YES faces are opposite directions in those years--the coins are REAL.....!!!!!

Celtic Coin?
I decided to check along a white rail for more old coins (see pictures). Under the rail I got another hit as a penny but +70 VDI reading--not a normal penny reading. I dug to 3 inches. YES... another foreign coin. Celtic looking dated 1403. The detail is very sharp and I wonder if it is not a replica sold at the theme park by some old English memorabilia vendor. Maybe some of you know...

Found the Celtic coin online at Ebay. It is a Lord of Rings Shire Hobbit Penny from 1403--$4.99 plus
$6.00 shipping and handling. See picture below--still great to find.

Silver Rings
It is a big horse profile silver ring that is stamped 825. I found it only partially buried in gravel of covered waiting area. It showed as a dime with VDI of +78 at -0- depth

I agree with temperature Sanat--it is weird. Probably the effects of sunspots and leftovers from Mt St. Helens erruptions. Rainy in Dayton today. Maybe hunt a while this afternoon.
What does your Avatar mean? And/or what is Sanat? Always curious...learning.

Did you have any luck in the field where they have everyone park?
I helped with the parking down there last season, there was a lot of people getting changed by there cars.
Nice finds, best of luck in '08.

Sanat is another word for Earth such as Gaia and I use it here on this board because of the treasures that The Earth gives each of us daily.. be it coin, gold, relics, food or life itself...

Hey Mason,
I want to hunt where the cars park at Greene Co Fairgrounds. Also want to go this summer to festivals to see where they park and photo where tents are for goods fo sale.

I've never seen any celtic coins anway so I would've had no idea.

Excellent hunt with lots of goodies. Congratulations. Nice organized arrangement of the images also.
(That is some deep purple band on that ring.)

....... Alas, a babe magnet i am not! ..............
LOL. Most of us probably match this description unless we are Tom Selleck lookalikes (from his earlier days of course.)

Thanks for sharing the positive essence of your being. The world can use more of it these days.
And she certainly does share a lot of treasures and nourishment.
