Wow... and I didn't even take a detector!!!

All I can say is, wow... I was really having a down weekend. Cold and windy, staying inside, wife mad, kids mad... Jeeeez I've got to get out of here... I called my nephew and he agreed to take a little trip with me. Recently, I hired a dozer to clear a site for a future house. A beautiful view, and a very sizeable bill for the tree removal and road build... now for the goodies...

We were walking on the freshly excavated road and something looked a little funny under a dirt clod... Bam-Shazaam!!!! My first complete axe. Perfect in every way... The next thing I found was a piece of an arrow point, then booom... I found another perfect stone, a really nice spear-point.

I love to hunt with a metal-detector, but I'll keep these. The absolute mystery and curiousty that finding these conjours up. My little girl helped me clean them and she was full of questions. I have to admit, I asked myself almost every one too. "Where did it come from?" "How did they make it?" "How old is it?" "How did he lose it?" I can't wait to go back out and spend some more time in the dirt...

AWESOME Those are great, love that axe.
I would love to find a few points. I know has to be some around where I live, but I havent been able to find any ... YET!!!

That's going to be full of arrow heads,axes,spears and maybe burial grounds.You'll be busy for years diggen it all up.You better clean up the area were the house goe's first.

Man those are SWEET! Never found an axe head! Prbably the Missouri tribe or Osage tribe. Other than points he only thing I have found is a real nice scraper.
