Got permission to search a good friends old family house. It was the original farm house for much of the city's south east side including the RailRoad rightaway. It still includes alot of good detecting ground. Was out for about 3-4 hours yesterday and found a 1906 Barber dime, a tootsie, a spoon looking thing, bicentenial quarter, key that says TERRYVILLE CONN. U.S.A., and a few other keepers. Will be going back to this one.
Congrats on the Barber!!! looks to be in great shape...
I'd have to agree with some of the others on the spoon thingy,,, Jointer/Mortor tool,,, One way to tell, if it has been used, is to look on the outer rounded edges, there should be two small groves running long ways, almost forming a "V" shape in the middle...
Good luck & Happy huting~
