Got out this weekend to search a 1940`s house yard found a couple of things. The yard was really nice and clean (hardly any junk other than the aluminum can that got shredded by a lawnmower in one side of the yard)which made it easy detecting.Found a 10k mens ring with a stone in it that i cant identify. Also a military medal and a pin that i need some help identifing. The pin has W.B.C on it.Found a couple of coins from the 40`s and some clad. Also a toy soldier which appears to be made of lead.I guess back then it was okay to let your kids play with lead. Thanks for checking this out.HH

Looks like a cameo ring--or perhaps an old class ring. Any inscriptions inside the band?

Either way, nice find! Gold rings are great to find, but OLD ones are better. Nice work.

I tried to find your medal but no luck :-\ I thought at first it might be a Legion of Merit but it's one arm short, and the center is different. Does it have any markings on the back?
