I started this streak Friday night with this 14k ring then just kept on digging over the weekend.

Here's #6 for the year, man what a rush it was to dig this, marked 14k.

Here's #7, an older class ring marked 10k. I have no clue as to the school.

And here's the 41 silvers, the highlight is a Franklin half (my first) and a standing liberty quarter! That half was deeeeep!

Super Charles, dang, you are enticing me to head east and hunt! Think the 20 miles might be too far to drive though! ;D

So glad you are doing so well, at least the beach is a renewable resource on finding stuff, the law of dimishing return does not apply as readily as it does to land sites.......

Wow, nice haul. ;D ;D Looks like the beach is the place to hunt....assuming that was the place. Must not have been in the water as it would be very cold this time of year up north.

What dates are the mercs? I wonder if they will clean up decent...

Very cool on the SLQ. ;D

Thanks folks, these were all dug at various NJ shore beaches. I'm "Charles (Upstate NY)" but live on the NJ shore these days. Found them all in the wet sand at low tide. Oldest merc was like 1923, most from the 40's. Doubt they will clean up too well, the salt water does a number on them.

Used a Minelab Explorer SE, did you notice the rusty iron stuck to that one dime and the rust stains on some of the others? Can't beat the Explorer when targets are mixed with rusty iron.

The dates on the ring probably have something to do with the school, the class of date is 1957. I have no idea on the school.

Don...man I'm getting a hankering for a 1700's copper. I may turn my attention inland before the bugs come out this spring.

Excellent mix of some older stuff! That ring with the blue stone is a killer! Hey, would that ExpII be the waterproof one you put together? Still run into Bob at the beach every once in a while. I think he's still swinging that big white elliptical (one that you made?) from a Sov. Man, that guy can dig some deep targets :)
