My front yard looks like the surface of the moon right now, todays total 25 coins, all clad, 2 matchbox cars, and a lead button. Whoever lived here before drank A LOT of beer, and left their caps everywhere, so tomorrow I'm going on a dig every signal rampage to try and clear out all the junk and hopefully get to the good stuff. Hopefully by the time the yard gets re done in the spring there will be nothing left ;D

Here's a pic of the 2 day total and one of the button, anyone know anything about these?

It's a seamstress weight. They were put in the bottoms of skirts, or even curtains to keep them hanging down.

Those "buttons" are hem weights or curtain weights. Used to hold them down. They come in many sizes/weights.

I'm not sure exactly of the year, but it has to be late 1800's, - early 1900's just based on the way it was built. I'm sure there's got to be some good stuff under all the trash.
